"1 ... 2 ... 3" He counts and everyone stands up with confetti in their hands, "Surprise!!"
Jongdae jumps at the sudden screaming, he scans the room to see all of his close friends are there, smiling at him. The decorations are nice and a sign that says "Happy Birthday Jongdae". Jongdae feels like crying, but he doesn't understand why Minseok is throwing a surprise party for him. Every other years, it's just the two of them celebrating together and he would go out to eat a bit with his friends. They never made a big deal out of birthday as they needed to save money.
"Minseok hyung!" Jongdae runs over and hugs Minseok, "Why?"
Minseok chuckles, "Why not?"
"But don't we need to -"
"Don't worry about it, just enjoy your birthday" Minseok ruffles Jongdae's hair.
"Happy birthday Jongdae" Everyone cheers.
"Thank you so much guys" Jongdae sniffs.
"Wait Chen Chen, open your gift!" Minseok says suddenly, pointing at a huge box.
"Shouldn't i open it after we ate?"
"No! Open it now now now!!" Minseok jumps up and down excitedly causing Luhan to giggles in the back.
Jongdae laughs, "Hyung, you're even more excited than i am"
"Hurry hurry hurry" Minseok whines. Jongdae has no choice but to do what Minseok told him to.
"Hyung, this is huge. Where did you get the money for this" Jongdae says as he slowly unwrapping the present. Minseok doesn't say anything, he's too excited to see the look on Minseok's face.
"What is - Oh my gosh!" Jongdae shrieks when something jumps out of the box. He catches a quick breath and begins screaming, "Oh my gosh!! No way!! Is this !! Oh my!! Hyung, i'm not dreaming am i ?!"
Minseok laughs, "Nope"
"Baekie!!!" Jongdae jumps up and down excitedly, "You're my gift?? Oh my gosh!!"
Everyone stands still in their spots as they realize that Jongdae's gift is a person, someone they all know very well too.
"Jongdae!!!!!" The guy jumps out of the box and wraps his arms around Jongdae.
"Oh my gosh Baekhyun, i can't believe this ...." Jongdae mumbles as he hugs the guy tighter.
"Hey guys" Baekhyun greets when they finally pull away from each other.
Baekhyun is Jongdae's best friend other than Minseok. They known each other since elementary school, been friends since then. Those two understand each other to the point that they can finish each others' sentences. They got separated during their last year of high school since Baekhyun's family had to move.
"Hey Baek!" Everyone greets back, still in shock that one of their good friend is actually standing in front of them right now.
"Jongdae i have something to tell you" Baekhyun says suddenly.
"What is it ?"
"I'm .." Baekhyun hesitates for a moment, "I'm transferring to your school!!"
Everyone's mouth, including Jongdae's form an O shape. Jongdae's eyes widen and he hug Baekhyun for the second time, "Really? You're not lying right ?"
"Nope" Baekhyun smiles, "Jongdae... i-can't-breath"
"Sorry" Jongdae giggles and pulls away.
Minseok starts telling everyone to eat as he made too much food and he would hate to have to throw them out. Luhan decides to get to know all of the people there, he loves making new friends - or enemies. Kris is busy trying out all of the food that he tunes everyone out. Jongdae pulls Baekhyun on the couch and the two starts catching up.
"Baekhyun hyung, remember me?" A skinny guy with tan skin sits down next to Jongdae.
"Of course, Jongin. How can i not?" Baekhyun smiles, "Our high school's super model"
Jongin blushes, "Awk Baekie hyung, you still remember"
Jongin, also known as Kai, was their high school's super model. He was known for his sexy tan skin and his cold face. Many girls fell for his charms but too bad he's not interested in girls. At all.
"Hey Kyungsoo!" Baekhyun waves when another guy approaches.
"Baekhyun hyung, i can't believe you're back!" Kyungsoo beams, "So, you're staying for sure this time?"
"Yep!" Baekhyun smiles.
"H-hey Baekhyun ..." A tall guy with curly hair waves nervously.
"Oh uhm hey" Baekhyun glances at the guy awkwardly and looks back at everyone else, "Why are you all here? Shouldn't you go get something to eat?"
"Oh yeah, totally for got about that" Jongin grins and rubs his stomach, "Let's go get something to eat guys"
Jongin drags everyone out, leaving Jongdae and Baekhyun to catch up on their lives.
"Why were you mean to Chanyeol?" Jongdae frowns and nudges Baekhyun's arm.
"He's creepy okay?" Baekhyun sighs, "Have you seen the way he stares at me?"
Jongdae did notice, actually, everyone did. Chanyeol has a thing for Baekhyun ever since high school. He would stare whenever Baekhyun is around, he stutters and do a lot of stupid stuffs which annoyed Baekhyun greatly. He wouldn't stop grinning either, and Baekhyun finds him very creepy.
"Yah, he's my friend so be nice to him!" Jongdae scolds.
Baekhyun nods and raises his arms up, surrendering, "Fine fine"

"Bye Jongdae and happy birthday!"
"Oh thanks Suho hyung, drive safe!" Jongdae waves.
Suho is a friend of Minseok, also his boss at the restaurant. Suho is a very kind man, and maybe a bit too mature for his age. Suho helped Minseok and Jongdae find a place to stay and offered a job for Minseok when he knew Minseok needed one.
"Minseok hyung, can we stay here tonight?" Jongin asks cutely.
"Don't you guys have school tomorrow?" Minseok raises an eyebrow.
"Nope" Jongin shakes his head, "Can we please stay?"
"Yeah hyung, we wanna stay with Baekhyun hyung" Kyungsoo begs.
Minseok sighs, "Fine, you guys can stay but only if you help cleaning the house"
"No problem hyung!" Chanyeol beams. He's probably the happiest person right now. He just got to see Baekhyun again for the first time in a while, even though he knows that Baekhyun doesn't like him very much, he doesn't care. As long as he gets to see Baekhyun, he's happy.
